Felicity Jones is a native of England and is most well-known as the actress who played Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at when she was 12 years old and has been in many productions and TV shows. Her first role was in The Treasure Seekers, a television film. In the following year she was in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow and in Weirdsisters College. In her first film Flashbacks of a Fool she played Young Ruth and went on to be featured in numerous films. In The Invisible Woman & The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in particular, she became a household name for her work. However it was her role in The Theory of Everything' that earned the actress an Oscar nomination the first time. Jones was highly praised by viewers and critics alike because she played the character of Hawking's wife for The Theory of Everything, a Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno was the second film she starred in with Tom Hanks. Jones received her British Artist of 2016 award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles, due to her extraordinary talent and contribution.
