Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her lead roles in a variety of television shows and for her enthralling acting in films. She's popular in both Canadian as well as American Television. Emily started acting when she was 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's movies. Emily began attending classes in acting, and then auditioning when she realized that she was passionate about acting. The first commercials she auditioned for were, but soon got cast as a child actor in the Canadian TV horror series Are You Fearful of the Darkness? It was the only scene where she was unable to speak. At the age 15, Emily got her first big break as she was part of the WB program Glory Days. Emily's appearance on the show by WB Glory Days, which was canceled nine episodes later, caught the attention and casting of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Also a ballet dancer and a photographer Emily was featured by Teen as one of the top actors under twenty. Maxim placed her at number 51 on its Hot 100 of 2014.
